Macon State is not your average, ordinary college. It's a place where serious-minded
students come to launch a career, or change a career.
Our college is part of the prestigious University System of Georgia, which has a guaranteed tuition plan that permits you to plan your college expenses years into the future. This plan also provides that students at colleges like Macon State pay lower tuition and lower fees than at most other traditional universities. Many of our students save additional money by continuing to live at home while commuting to the college's campuses in Macon and Warner Robins.
Macon State is a college where students receive excellent instruction from sincere, caring faculty members who help every student navigate the challenges in their life on their path toward a college degree. It's a college that builds its academic programs to fit the needs of Central Georgia's employers.
Macon State now offers 17 bachelor's degrees, with 29 different majors. We also offer programs like nursing and respiratory therapy that can launch careers in just two years. We recently added bachelor's degrees in history, math and a pre-licensure 4-year degree in nursing. Six of the college's bachelor's degrees offer majors that qualify students to become certified as a teacher.
