Orientation is mandatory for all new and transfer students attending Macon State College. Orientation is designed to provide essential information about academic programs and requirements, student organizations and activities, and the wide range of campus resources, both academic and non-academic, available to our students. Most of all, orientation is intended to help new students connect with the campus community and to be well prepared for success. You may elect to attend a traditional face-to-face orientation session or participate in an online orientation. You may visit http://www.maconstate.edu/orientation/new_transfer.aspx to learn about the in-person orientation schedule and sign up online for the session you wish to attend, or you may visit http://orientation.maconstate.edu to complete the online version of orientation.

While you will be able to register and attend classes your first semester of enrollment without participating in an orientation, you will not be allowed to register for second semester classes unless you have completed the orientation requirement. We invite you to register today for an in-person orientation or to complete the online version if that meets your needs.
