The University System of Georgia Shared Services Center is Sandersville, Georgia is seeking candidates for the position of Shared Service Center Director. This position provides leadership and direction of the center operations in support the 34 public institutions of higher education. The SSC provides consolidated administrative services in support of the mission of the University System and its constituent institutions. Currently, the SSC provides payroll processing, human resource support and a call center. The Director will play a key role in guiding the development of expanded services as the University System strives to gain administrative efficiencies through shared service operations.
Specific responsibilities include:
• Managing consolidated financial and HR/payroll services and support to the institutions of the University System of Georgia
• Integrating functionality with human resource, finance and other information systems to provide integration, consolidation and automation of processes, including shared data through self-service systems
• Working closely with the Governing Board to identify, plan for and develop strategies, services and activities to build the infrastructure to support current and future customer needs.
• Responsible for the identification, evaluation and analysis of process improvements
• Lead customer satisfaction through identification of needs, surveys, analysis and recommendations for improvements in delivery and measurements.
Bachelor’s degree required, Masters preferred, in business administration, management, or related a field, or equivalent related experience. Excellent communication (verbal and written), organizational and human relations skills are required. Experience with process improvement methodology, Peoplesoft, ADP Payroll/Human Resource service, and Shared Service Centers strongly preferred.
